Railroad paradox
When rail roads were asked to establish new stops on the schedule they “studied the requirements”, by sending someone to the station at the designated time to see if anyone was waiting for a train. Of course, nobody was there because no stop was scheduled, so the railroad turned down the request because there was no demand.
Liar Paradox
A Cretan sails to Greece and says to some Greek men who are standing upon the shore: “All Cretans are liars.”
Did he speak the truth, or did he lie?
i guess he lied ..
if he had lied then his lie was “I am a liar”. If that is a lie then the truth is ‘he is not a liar’. Again, If he is not a liar then his statement “I am a liar” is true so he must be a liar and it goes on and on and on recursively.
The truth is “There is no solution to this problem”.
it cant be answered until v define who is a “liar”
not all Cretans are liars, but he is. So he lied.
